How We Help Players Improve
-
On-Boarding
First steps include an initial on-boarding video conference to begin fostering the relationship between athlete & coach. This information gathering call is designed to set expectations, design a preliminary player plan and provide immediately actionable next steps in your programming.——>
-
Movement Screen
To get to know you as an athlete and help drive informed conversations between parties, we need to objectively evaluate how you move going down the mound. We will provide you with instructions for filming your next bullpen/game/throwing session from 3 distinct camera angles, arming us with crucial data that assists in identifying strengths & weaknesses in your movement profile. With this information at hand, we can address both up & down stream causation and create a comprehensive plan to improve your overall movement capabilities.——>
-
Player Plan
After your on-boarding video conference call, we will provide you with a step-by-step actionable player plan that clarifies both short & long term goals and exactly how to achieve them. This fluid document remains malleable so we can make adjustments as your season progresses and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are realized. ——>
-
1-on-1 Instruction
You’re never by yourself. We’re with you every step of the way through the utilization of select technologies & resources. We provide the same remote guided instruction that professional teams offer their players when they go back home for their off-season training. —>
-
Video Analysis
Using our 3rd party app OnForm™ you will be set up with a personalized locker & communications hub where you can text us your questions on the daily, and submit your pitching & throwing videos to us. We will provide you with a detailed breakdown of your delivery and instructions on correction. By utilizing voice overlay and advanced drawing tools, you will have a professional pitching coach in your back pocket. These same technologies can be applied to your strength & conditioning program, where we identify movement inefficiencies and correlations to downhill throwing endeavors in pursuit of injury mitigation. ——>

How Remote Coaching Benefits You
-
Advantages
A superior alternative to its conventional counterpart, remote instruction offers numerous advantages that address some of the inherent limitations of in-person coaching. ——>
-
Accountability
One key aspect that sets remote instruction apart is its ability to foster player accountability while reducing coach dependency. By breaking away from the constant presence of the instructor, athletes are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and player development journeys. ——>
-
Supervised Autonomy
By virtue of this autonomy, athletes must make their own series of daily micro-decisions within the confines of the provided curriculum. With daily check-ins and back & forth communication with our instructors, the athlete is supported every step of the way. However, similar to the self-guided decision making process inherent to competition, athletes become self-sufficient, adaptable and skill acquisition is improved. Learning to coach themselves with supervised autonomy is a critical skill more fully developed in the remote-coached setting. ——>
-
Skill Acquisition
In the professional game, player progress often stalls out mid-season, while it could be argued that the greatest skill-acquisition gains occur in the off-season. When equipped with elite programming and allowed the autonomy to get it done on their own, players flourish…. arriving to Spring Training bigger, stronger, faster and more independent. —>
-
Professional Programming
Under the same pretenses, when provided with best-in-class programming, similar autonomy and guided supervision, Pitch IQ clients attain a level of professional development unparalleled by in-person coaching at the amateur level. ——>
-
2-Way Communication
With bi-weekly video based feedback & communication coupled with regular direct messaging and group “office hours” the athlete/community/instructor relationship has room to grow without the smothering of in-person coaching formats. Other benefits include the flexibility to train & learn on one’s own schedule, improving buy-in, personal ownership and a sense of urgency. As a result, Pitch IQ clients make steadier improvements in velocity & command than with strictly in-person coaching.
