Eric Junge - Founder/CEO
With 28+ years of professional coaching, managing, scouting, front office & playing experience, Eric brings the exact development systems used at the highest level of professional baseball directly to your son’s daily routine.
15 years as a San Diego Padre, six as pitching coordinator, a year as AAA manager/pitching coach and a year as A-Ball manager, winning the 2022 California League manager of the year award en route to a league title, Eric is currently a throwing instructor and liaison between the Major & Minor league levels.
Christian Wonders - CSCS, PT. Movement Kinematics & Human Locomotion Expert
Currently in his first season as the assistant MLB pitching coach for the San Francisco Giants, Christian brings a wealth of knowledge to Pitch IQ as a licensed physical therapist and strength & conditioning coach. He possesses a unique perspective and skill set in his work with players of all skill levels. Previous to his role with the Giants, he spent two seasons as the Tampa Rays pitching coordinator and four with the San Diego Padres working with their minor league pitchers. Christian emphasizes a holistic approach to movement capabilities and limitations.
Brian Whatley - Catching Instructor
A veteran catching instructor and coaching presence in college baseball, Brian enters his second season as the Cleveland Guardians catching coordinator after four seasons in the same role with the San Diego Padres. Having worked with several dozen current MLB catchers and hundreds of young professional catching prospects, he is an expert in the arts of receiving, blocking, catch & throw, set-ups & game management.
At Pitch IQ, we understand the importance of the pitcher/catcher relationship. With Brian on staff, not only do we branch out into the realm of “Catch IQ”, but through his effective and down-home communication style, our pitchers and throwing athletes see added value in their curriculums.
Drew Heithoff- CSCS, RSCC, LMT
Currently in his third year as Major League strength & conditioning coach with the Detroit Tigers, Drew comes to the Pitch IQ team with a decade + worth of experience coaching professional baseball players in the science of human performance. Previously, his roles included pro-performance specialist at Exos Sports and coordinator of minor league strength & conditioning with the San Diego Padres.
Originally from South Dakota, he graduated from Augustana University, where he was a captain of the baseball team. With a stint in professional independent league baseball with the Schaumburg Boomers in the Frontier League, Drew understands coaching & being-coached with equal acumen.
Adam Glasofer- MD
Dr. Glasofer is the Founder and Principal of Vertex Health, where he works to help companies succeed in building, using, and deploying healthcare technology. Adam has over 20 years of experience as a physician and healthcare IT executive. He brings his passion and expertise for integrating technology into clinical and care delivery workflows, leading technology implementations, and the evaluation/deployment of emerging technologies.
Prior to starting Vertex Health, Adam was the Global Head of Healthcare for Public Sector Venture Capital and Startups at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, he led a team focused on fostering startup communities and driving the adoption of startups with healthcare customers around the world. Within the first year of development, Adam’s team created and delivered the AWS Healthcare Accelerator, which launched several cohorts globally. These efforts have been featured by leading media outlets including Forbes, Bloomberg News, and the Financial Times, and drove tangible benefits for both AWS and the associated AWS Healthcare Accelerator startups.
Before joining Amazon, Adam was Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at Virtua Health, where he founded both Virtua’s telehealth program and Center for Innovation. In these roles, he worked closely with clinical and operational leadership, and government agencies to transform clinical workflows through the seamless integration of technology. A pediatric hospitalist by training, Adam continues to practice clinical medicine working as part of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at Virtua group in a pediatric emergency department.
Adam is board certified in both Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics, and has a Master’s Degree of Science in Health Informatics. Adam has presented globally on topics related to telemedicine and innovation in healthcare, and has served as an advisor to multiple healthcare startups. A die-hard Philly sports fan, Adam brings his love of sports along with his proven success and business acumen in scaling startups to the PitchIQ team.
